Goya Gear quality white-water paddling safety equipment for maximum safety and ultimate comfort

Welcome

Goya Gear is a manufacturer of high quality paddling equipment, designed to provide maximum safety on the water coupled with ultimate comfort. Goya Gear recognised a need for high performance river safety equipment that provided paddlers with cutting-edge design. All products are designed in-house with ultimate functionality and comfort in mind.

Goya Gear is consistently updating and testing new designs for all products, ensuring that the entire product range reflects the latest technology and river expertise available. All products are tested by a select group of professional South African paddlers on a number of mighty African rivers, including the Wit, Orange, Palmiet, Zambezi and White Nile.

The company has recently expanded its focus from white-water kayaking and rafting to ocean based activities such as surf-skiing and sea-kayaking. A number of products are currently in the final stages of design and are due for launch early in 2007.

Origin

Goya Gear was established in 2000 by Andrew Kellet, a professional South African white-water paddler. Andrew has been instrumental in formalising a previously unregulated industry in Africa, and was a founding member of the African Paddling Association (APA), the industry association on the African continent.

Andrew heads up design and puts his years of experience as a river safety expert to good use in the Goya Gear designs. It is this extensive testing and design process which puts Goya Gear at the forefront of the industry.
